Volkswagen held a presentation of the concept urban hatchback ID.2all - the car is equipped with a purely electric power plant, in terms of form factor and dimensions it is comparable to the familiar Volkswagen Polo.
VW says that a production electric car similar in appearance to the ID.2all will enter the market in 2025 and will cost less than 25,000 euros in the EU.
The overall length, width and height of ID.2all are 4050, 1812 and 1530 mm respectively, the wheelbase is 2600 mm. It is noticeably shorter than the Golf, but has almost the same wheelbase.
The body of the car is completely original, the design is made in a laconic way - “clean” sidewalls and solid horizontal headlights and taillights attract attention.
Trunk volume in the normal state is 490 liters, with the rear seats folded down - 1330 liters.
The design of the electric vehicle is based on the MEB platform, which in principle does not involve the use of internal combustion engines. It is already being used for serial electric vehicles of the ID sub-brand.
The ID.2all is equipped with a 226 hp electric motor. and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds. Top speed is limited at 160 km/h. With a fully charged battery, the range of the car is 450 kilometers. The energy reserve from 10 to 80% can be replenished in 20 minutes.
