The Volkswagen concern simultaneously announced three affordable electric vehicles at once - under the Volkswagen, Skoda and Cupra brands. The company showed one sketch for each.
These machines will be built on a single base, they will belong to the subcompact class, and their production will be established at a plant in Spain. Promising electric vehicles will replace the current Volkswagen e-Up!, Skoda Citigo-e iV and Seat Mii Electric in the product range.
The series of cars will go in 2025, each of them will have its own body.
The electric car of the Volkswagen brand will receive a short flattened nose and the exterior will have something in common with the serial compact electric car ID.3 - adjusted for smaller dimensions.
The promising Cupra will be made in a deliberately sporty vein, with individual style details it will resemble the UrbanRebel concept car.
As for Skoda, it will be endowed with a simple two-volume body, where the useful space of the cabin will be at the forefront.
Under this trinity, Volkswagen is developing the MEB Small platform, it will use one electric motor that drives the front wheels. The initial cost of cars in the EU will be 20,000 euros.
