Volkswagen has added a new crossover to its range

Volkswagen held the world premiere of the new Tavendor mid-size crossover at the Chengdu Motor Show in China.

This machine is built on a modular MQB platform with a transverse motor and basic front-wheel drive. The length, width and height of the novelty are 4936, 2015 and 1756 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2980 mm.

The exterior of the Tavendor is characterized by a two-volume profile, a slope of the front end close to the vertical (in profile), an abundance of elegant, finely crafted details. The headlights and radiator grille are visually combined into a single visual element, with two additional horizontal slots below them. LED daytime running lights are mounted at the top of the headlights and grille, which continue stylistically with moldings on the front fenders and doors.

Volkswagen Tavendor will be offered with a 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine with 186 or 220 hp. (at the choice of the buyer). They are aggregated with a dual-clutch robotic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. The layout of the cabin is five-seater.

Production of the Volkswagen Tavendor will start at the end of 2022 at the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture plant in China.

In addition to the standard version of the crossover, consumers will be offered a sporty version of the R-Line.
