Subaru

One of the premieres of the international auto show taking place in New York was a restyled version of the Subaru Outback crossover. The current generation BT Outback has been in production since 2020, so it has been updated just two years after launch.

The design of the front part of the body became more striking - a new bumper with corner segments made of black embossed plastic was used, the area of the radiator grille was increased, other block headlights were installed with pointed inner corners and “outgrowths” along the bottom. Also noteworthy are the "fat" wheel arch extensions.

An updated version of the EyeSight semi-autopilot system was included as standard on the Outback. Increased camera view area, improved software. Automatic emergency braking works at speeds up to 80 km/h. In top configurations, in addition to two standard EyeSight cameras, a wide-angle monocamera has been added, thanks to which the complex quickly recognizes small objects at intersections - pedestrians and cyclists.

The units were not affected by the modernization. Outback in North American specification will continue to be offered with a 2.5-liter boxer petrol engine producing 182 hp. or with a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that produces 260 hp. Both are combined with a CVT and permanent all-wheel drive.

The Wilderness version prepared for extreme off-road conditions was not affected by the update.
