Subaru launches next generation Levorg sport wagon

Subaru

The second-generation Subaru Levorg station wagon was introduced in August. Now it's on sale in Japan.

The length of the car has grown by 85 mm (up to 4755 mm), width - by 15 mm (up to 1795 mm). The wheelbase has grown slightly - from 2650 to 2670 mm. The car is built on the Subaru Global Modular Platform (SGP), which is used for all Subaru of the latest wave.

The power structure of the body of the new Levorg is made using innovative technology - in addition to welded joints, resin-reinforced glue is used here for a stronger bond between the elements, as a result, the torsional rigidity of the body is increased by 44% relative to the old model.

The body is made in the latest iteration of the brand’s corporate style, it literally radiates character and sporty spirit – a long hood, “square” wheel arches with muscular undercuts above them, a wide radiator grille, emotional plastic bumpers and an air intake in the hood cover work for this perception. Interesting look LED C-shaped headlights and lights.

The new Levorg is equipped only with a 1.8-liter boxer gasoline turbo engine with direct fuel injection, its power is 177 hp, torque - 300 Nm. The engine has an index of CB18 and is combined with a continuously variable variator Lineartronic. The drive is full, with a clutch for connecting the rear axle.

Car prices in Japan start at 3,102,000 yen. The top-end STI Sport EX with the same engine costs 4,092,000 yen.
