The Japanese company Subaru has announced a reshuffle in the top management.
The new chief executive officer (president) of the company is 60-year-old Atsushi Osaki, who has been working in the concern since 1988. From 2007 to 2011, he was responsible for product planning, in 2011 he became a technology management manager, in 2013 he was responsible for product quality, and in 2021 he rose to senior managing director.
Former Subaru president Tomomi Nakamura has now become chairman of the board.
The company expects that the new head will help it restructure in accordance with the requirements of the time, i.e. transition to the production of electric vehicles. The next version of Subaru's development strategy will be presented in June 2023.
