Crossover Subaru Ascent subjected to modernization

Subaru

Subaru has carried out a comprehensive upgrade of the Ascent full-size crossover. Recall that this model appeared in 2018, it is produced only in the USA, one of the features of the car is three rows of seats, for seven or eight seats (at the choice of the buyer).

Outside, the upgraded crossover differs from the previous one with a new front bumper group - the headlights have been reduced in size and made more complex in configuration, the radiator grille, on the contrary, has been visually enlarged. The air intake solution in the bumper has been optimized - it now provides a smoother air flow around the bottom. Behind - a new tailgate and C-shaped lights.

Ascent received the latest EyeSight Driver semi-autopilot with a wide-angle mono camera and an automatic collision avoidance function - at speeds up to 80 km / h, the car can self-steer in a critical situation if the system “thinks” that emergency braking will not be enough. Surround cameras (360 degrees) are also available.

The crossover is now equipped with a media complex with a diagonal increased to 11.6 inches. Previously, Ascent was equipped with a system with a 6.5-inch screen in the base, and in expensive trim levels it had an 8-inch one.

Onyx Edition will remain in the range of the model, which, among other things, has an electric driver's seat adjustment in 12 directions, 20-inch wheels, black accents in the exterior and special nameplates on the body.

There are no changes in terms of units. The five-meter crossover will continue to be equipped with a 2.4-liter FA24F petrol turbocharger with a capacity of 260 hp, it is combined with a TR690 CVT and all-wheel drive.
