Porsche is going to bring to market two new modifications based on the Panamera liftback, which in essence will become an alternative to the models of the 911 family, since they will have large dimensions and a 2 + 2S seating formula.
According to the British publication Autocar, citing its own sources, the cars will quickly be built on the basis of the shortened MSB modular platform of the current Panamera, and they will compete with the BMW 8 Series Coupe and 8 Series Convertible.
As far as powertrains are concerned, there is absolutely no need for Porsche to reinvent the wheel in this regard, as they will be exactly the same as those of the five-door liftback: the base will be a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with 330 hp, the more expensive versions will be equipped with 2, A 9-liter bi-turbo engine with a return of 440 hp, as well as its 462-horsepower hybrid version, and the most expensive modifications will receive 4.0-liter bi-turbo engines with a capacity of 460-550 hp. Top versions of the coupe and convertible can be equipped with a 680-horsepower hybrid engine from the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
As for the timing of the appearance of new modifications of the Panamera, the British colleagues say that their presentation should be expected next year.
