Porsche turned the 911 into a crossover

Porsche

The German company Porsche offered the 911 coupe in a new version of the 911 Dakar, i.е. 911 for rough terrain.

The recipe by which the 911 Dakar is prepared is usually applied by automakers to passenger station wagons, hatchbacks or minivans, but almost never to sports coupes. Plastic wheel arch extensions, sills and bumpers made of mechanically resistant plastic, increased ground clearance by 5 cm, special off-road wheels and two additional preset off-road modes in the electronic control system for the engine, transmission and suspension. When you activate the modes, you can either get an additional 3 cm to the ground clearance, or the tolerant attitude of the stabilization system to driving with wheel slip (useful to grab on the dirt road in rally style).

The Porsche 911 Dakar engine from the 911 Carrera GTS is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer (473 hp), the transmission is an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission, all-wheel drive.

Acceleration 0-100 in lunch control mode is 3.2 s, the maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h to protect the tires.

The Porsche 911 Dakar can be ordered in a combined racing color scheme with a tail number on the body from 1 to 999 of your choice - and the image of the rally-raid car will be complete.

The Porsche 911 Dakar also comes with a range of accessories, such as an open roof rack and red tow straps. Porsche 911 Dakar will be assembled in a run of 2,500 copies.
