Porsche celebrates its 75th anniversary with a spectacular concept car

Porsche

German Porsche in June will celebrate 75 years since the release of the first model - 356. In honor of the impending anniversary, she introduced a new development - the Vision 357 Concept coupe.

In the guise of the Vision 357, the company's specialists have tried to create a harmonious combination of past, present and future, said Porsche chief designer Michael Mauer. That is why the concept car is so similar in body proportions to the classic Porsche 356 - the cars have a pronounced front end, a slight slope of the windshield and a sloping roof turning into the stern. The body shapes of the Vision 357 are made in the flowing manner characteristic of Porsche.

Another feature of the concept coupe is the minimalistic detailing of the exterior. The A-pillars are covered with a windshield - thus the glazing line is made visually solid. The door handles are hidden in the triangular rear windows. Instead of side mirrors, there are rear-view cameras placed on horizontal legs.

LED headlights and lanterns are hidden behind the body panels - perforations are made in the elements to let their light through. In the rear, vertical slots for air intakes attract attention.

Wheels - 20-inch with carbon fiber aerodynamic caps.

The body of the car is painted in Ice Gray metallic, the front bumper is covered in a light shade of Grivola Gray Metallic.

The experimental car is driven by a 4.0-liter boxer gasoline engine from the serial Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, power - 493 hp. The engine is installed behind the seats within the wheelbase, that is, the layout is mid-engine.

The car will be exhibited at the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Porsche in Berlin until mid-February, then it will be taken to international events throughout 2023.
