Porsche owners are some of the most loyal in the world. And the company appreciates this: the Porsche Classic division periodically releases new components and parts designed specifically for older sports cars. Now the Germans have introduced a touchscreen media system and Apple CarPlay for the Porsche 911 from the 60s.
Two versions of the Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system have been developed: for DIN-1 and DIN-2 compartments. Since the first was used on the Porsche 911 from the 60s to the 90s, the novelty is compatible even with sports cars whose age has exceeded 50 years.
Despite the obvious differences in size, both versions of PCCM received support for the main modern technologies: Apple CarPlay, DAB + digital radio broadcasting and Bluetooth. The systems also have touch screens and built-in navigation.
The two-din PCCM Plus modification is suitable for the Porsche 911 starting from the 996 generation. It appeared in 1998 and for the first time in the series received water-cooled engines. The appearance of the media systems is maximally adapted to the style of the interiors of the Porsche 911.
