The Porsche 911 sports car of the 992 generation was introduced in the fall of 2018. Then the Germans only told about the Carrera S and Carrera 4S versions. Now the flagship modification, the Porsche 911 Turbo S, has entered the scene.
The top version is most easily distinguished by the air intakes in the rear fenders and the enlarged rear wing. Front appeared retractable front splitter with pneumatic drive. Together with other subtle changes in appearance, he helped build downforce by 15%. The body has become 35 mm wider at the front fenders, 20 mm at the rear, and also 50 kg heavier.
The 911 Turbo S has a new 3.8-litre flat-six engine based on the 3.0-litre ICE from the base 911. It has two variable geometry turbochargers. Now the car develops 650 hp. and 800 Nm, which is 70 hp. and 50 Nm more than its predecessor. The engine is aggregated with an 8-speed "robot".
The new Porsche 911 Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds (0.2 faster than the previous generation). Acceleration time 0-200 km / h decreased immediately by a second - up to 8.9. The maximum speed remained the same - 330 km / h.
The German sports car comes with a fully steerable chassis by default. The 911 Turbo S also received carbon-ceramic brakes with 10-piston front calipers and 10 mm larger discs. Not without the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) sports suspension with the possibility of lowering by 10 mm and the exhaust system with adjustable valves. The 911 Turbo S is fitted with mixed tire sizes: 20-inch 911 Turbo specific tires in size 255/35 at the front and 21-inch 315/30 tires at the rear.
