Crossover Peugeot 3008 second generation stood on the conveyor in 2016. Now the French company has introduced an updated version.
The 3008 gets a fresh new look from Peugeot. From the innovations in front - headlights with "saber-toothed" processes of DRL, a redesigned grille and bumper. It was decided to abandon the "foglights": they were replaced with a special mode of the main optics. Model index appeared on the hood.
Behind the changes are not so noticeable. Slightly changed the graphics of the lights and the design of the exhaust pipes.
Inside, there is a larger central display: its diagonal has increased to 10 inches. Among the new features is the night vision system, which is unique in the class of compact crossovers.
The European range of internal combustion engines has not changed much. It still includes 1.2 (130 hp) and 1.6 liter (180 hp) petrol turbo engines, as well as a 1.5 (130 hp) diesel engine. But the 2.0-liter version on "heavy fuel" (180 hp) was retired.
They will also continue to produce two versions of the hybrid with 1.6-liter gasoline “fours”. The return of the internal combustion engine is 180 or 200 hp. In the HYBRID4 300 e-EAT8 version, they are assisted by a pair of electric motors (110 and 112 hp on the front and rear axles), in the HYBRID 225 e-EAT8 - one electric motor (110 hp) built into the transmission. Such cars can travel 56-59 km without starting the internal combustion engine due to a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13.2 kWh.
European dealers will receive an updated Peugeot 3008 towards the end of the year.
