Concept hybrid Peugeot 308 R: 500 hp and four seconds to "hundreds"

Peugeot has prepared another concept 308 R for the Shanghai Motor Show. A hybrid hatchback with supercar dynamics will be shown on April 20.

Visually, the car differs from the standard 308 hatch with an aerodynamic body kit with an 80 mm wide track and 19-inch rims. The prototype also received a two-tone body color (blue-black) and a new hood shape.

The power plant of the car consists of a 1.6-liter petrol turbo engine (270 hp) and two electric motors with a capacity of 115 hp. each (one per axle). The total output of the complex is 500 hp. and 730 Nm.

The weight distribution of the car on the front and rear axles is in the ratio of 60:40. The all-wheel drive prototype can accelerate to “hundreds” in four seconds. At the same time, the maximum speed is limited at around 250 km / h.

The driver will be able to choose from four driving modes: Hot Lap (maximum impact), Track (400 hp and 530 Nm), Road (300 hp and 400 Nm) and ZEV (electric traction, power reserve not specified).

Note that this is the second concept on the theme of the hot hatch 308 R - the first company showed in 2013 in Frankfurt. Peugeot's plans to produce any of the variants of the presented cars have not yet been specified.
