Opel officially unveiled the Corsa OPC hot hatch

Opel has released official details about the new generation of the Corsa OPC hot hatch, which was developed by the Opel Performance Center division. The world premiere of the car will take place on March 3 in Geneva.

The powerful hatchback received a completely new aerodynamic body kit, including bumpers and door sills. In addition, the new version of the "normal" Corsa features a hood with an additional air intake.

At the rear, a small spoiler is installed by default, which can be optionally replaced with a more massive one, designed to improve downforce on the rear axle. Corsa OPC is equipped with 17-inch wheels with Michelin tires, brakes with 308 mm front discs and a Remus exhaust system.

Under the hood of the hot hatch is a 1.6-liter turbo engine of the EcoTec series, the output of which is 207 hp. power and 280 Nm of thrust. Paired with the engine is a six-speed "mechanics" with close gear ratios.

Acceleration to "hundreds" will take Corsa OPC 6.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 230 km/h. The manufacturer claims that the fuel consumption of the hot hatch is 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle.

Inside, the car features Recaro sport seats with lateral support, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a manual gearshift lever with the OPC division logo, and an IntelliLink multimedia system.

As options, the hatchback can be equipped with a limited slip differential with a mechanical multi-plate lock, 18-inch wheels, stiffer suspension or Brembo brakes with 330 mm discs.
