The new Honda Civic has a version for the European Union

Honda Motor has introduced a new, eleventh generation Civic in specification for the EU market.

The performance for the Old World came out a year after the global premiere of the model.

In the EU, the car will only be offered as a five-door hatchback. The overall length, width and height of this modification are 4549, 1800 and 1415 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2732 mm.

For Europeans, an e:HEV hybrid power plant with a total output of 135 kW (181 hp) is provided: it includes a 2.0-liter gasoline engine (works on the Atkinson cycle), two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery. At low speeds and in urban mode, the car is driven by a traction electric motor. With a sharp acceleration, the internal combustion engine turns on, it activates the second electric motor, through which energy is generated to recharge the traction battery. When driving on highways outside the city, both electric motors are turned off - and the car drives only due to the internal combustion engine. The top speed of the Civic is limited to 180 km/h. The average fuel consumption of a car is less than 5 l/100 km. Drive — only the front.

Honda Civic sales in the European Union will start in the fall of 2022.
