Honda released two electric cars at the same time

Honda Motor launched two new electric crossovers, the e:NS1 and e:NP1, at the same time.

These machines are built on the e:N Architecture F platform, which uses a purely electric propulsion system. In terms of bodywork and chassis, the e:NS1 and e:NP1 are widely unified with the RV generation Honda Vezel / HR-V / X-RV produced since 2021 (they are offered in gasoline and hybrid versions). Outside, e:NS1 and e:NP1 slightly differ from each other by the front bumper group, at the same time, both electric vehicles differ in plumage from their counterparts with internal combustion engines - narrower block headlights and a plug in place of the traditional radiator grille are used.

e:NS1 is produced by DongFeng-Honda joint venture, e:NP1 by other Guangqi Honda JVs.

Crossovers can travel 420-510 km on one full charge (depending on engine power and battery capacity).

In the basic configuration, the new Hondas have a 134 kW (182 hp) engine, for a surcharge - 150 kW (204 hp), the torque in both cases is 310 Nm. The motor is installed in front and drives the front axle (this is indicated by the letter F in the name of the platform, that is, front).

The standard equipment of the machines, among other things, includes a media system with a 15.1-inch display and voice control, as well as monitoring the driver's condition with a camera directed at him (fixes fatigue and drowsiness - and takes action).

Overall length for e:NS1 is 4390 mm, for e:NP1 is 4388 mm. The width and height of the models are the same - 1790 and 1560 mm, the wheelbase is also common - 2610 mm.

Prices for Honda e:NS1/e:NP1 in China start at 180,000 yuan, and cars are sold according to a new scheme - through branded online stores.
