In anticipation of the imminent presentation, Honda circulated details about the development.

According to the press release, the Honda AWV is “a robotic device based on a Honda 3E-D18 type platform.” The machine is designed for a wide range of tasks, incl. special (attached equipment and tools are mounted for this).

The autonomous control system works on the basis of data from the navigator, radar, lidar (laser radar) and other sensors.

Differences of the third generation Honda AWV from its predecessor: increased payload from 400 kg to 907 kg, simple control interface, improved obstacle recognition function.

The overall length, width, height of the conveyor are 3025, 1300 and 2052 mm, respectively, the internal dimensions of the loading platform are 2560 x 1300 mm.

Dry weight - 800 kg, load capacity - 907 kg, maximum speed in autonomous mode 16 km / h, in remote control mode - 4 km / h. The minimum turning radius is 3.5 m, the battery capacity is 18.6 kWh, the cruising range when fully loaded is up to 45 km.
