Honda Motor has released the first official photo of the eleventh generation Civic sedan. The full presentation of the novelty will take place on April 28, the start of sales is scheduled for the summer, North America and China will be the first to receive the car.
The production version of the Civic is virtually the same as the prototype unveiled in November 2020. The configuration of the front bumper has hardly changed noticeably. In particular, "foglights" appeared in it.
If we compare the new Civic with its predecessor, the car has become more strict. The exterior is dominated by straight lines. Due to this, the car resembles a business-class sedan rather than a compact model.
Specifications have not yet been published. In the US, it is planned to offer two engines for the Civic: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated “four” and a 1.5-liter turbo engine. The only type of transmission will be the variator.
After the standard sedan, a more powerful Civic Si will appear, and then the top version of the Civic Type R (the output of its 2.0-liter turbo four will exceed the current 321 hp). A five-door hatch will also be available.
