Suzuki Swift slightly updated and made safer

Suzuki

The fourth generation Suzuki Swift appeared at the very end of 2016. In the fifth year of the compact hatch's life, the Japanese brand carried out a small upgrade. Changes in appearance were insignificant, but it became safer.

Swift received a slightly modified grille, new design alloy wheels and improved interior trim materials. There are new two-tone body color options.

The most important innovation is due to the fact that now an advanced security system is included even in the basic version of the Suzuki Swift. This complex, among other things, is able to monitor the distance to the car in front, warn about unintentional leaving the lane, monitor “blind” zones and obstacles when reversing. Also, the Japanese baby automatically stops in front of obstacles and "reads" the signs.

The Swift continues to offer 1.2 (91 hp) and 1.4 liter (140 hp) engines. A "soft" hybrid provides for a small electric motor (3 hp), and a full-fledged one - a slightly larger one (14 hp). It was decided to abandon the 1.0-liter turbo engine (102 hp).

The updated Suzuki Swift will cost from 1,535,600 yen to 2,088,900 yen.
