Suzuki Motor, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan Motor, Mazda Motor are recalling more than 360,000 Suzuki Carry, Suzuki Every, Nissan NV100 Clipper, Mazda Scrum, Mitsubishi Minicab trucks, vans and minibuses manufactured since August 18, 2014 in Japan to eliminate transmission manufacturing defects. until July 14, 2021. All cars are produced at the Suzuki plant in the Japanese city of Iwata.
The identified defects are insufficient moisture protection of the clutch cable, insufficient cooling of the transmission oil pump drive electric motor, and brushes of the oil pump drive electric motor that are not suitable in size. The first malfunction is fraught with a break in the clutch cable due to corrosion, the other two - with a dysfunction of the gearbox lubrication system, leading to its breakdown.
As part of the service campaign, all cars will be diagnosed for defects; if found, defective components and parts will be replaced with serviceable ones.
