On August 26, Suzuki Motor began selling a new modification of the Spacia kei van, a commercial van, in the domestic market of Japan. The machine is indicated by the prefix Base in the title.
The Spacia Base plumage repeats the Spacia Custom passenger model, but the decor is simplified - the radiator grille and its frame are made in black instead of chrome.
The main features of the Base are in the cabin converted for the carriage of goods. There are no glasses in the rear fenders - molded composite plugs are used. Instead of a comfortable rear sofa, a simplified “bench” with vinyl upholstery is installed - it folds in a couple of movements and in this state forms a flat floor of the cargo space. Internal length, width, compartment height - 1205, 1245 and 1220 mm, loading height - 510 mm. The package includes a composite "multiboard-panel", which can be used as a partition or as a shelf at different heights.
Suzuki Spacia Base is equipped with a 3-cylinder R06A gasoline engine with a volume of 0.66 liters and a power of 52 hp. It is equipped with a start-stop system that improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. The engine is aggregated with a stepless variator and front or all-wheel drive (at the choice of the buyer).
The key van comes standard with adaptive cruise control, all-round cameras, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, incl. at night, front and side airbags. The van is also equipped with side door servo, air conditioning, keyless entry to the passenger compartment, push-button ignition, UV and IR glass, water-repellent front seat upholstery, USB type A and USB type C connectors.
In the cabin there are many niches and pockets for storing documents, smartphones and various small things, in addition, multi-panels are provided, with which you can organize space for transporting food or pets.
An extensive list of branded accessories is offered, incl. a camping tent, an expedition trunk, bags, curtains and floor mats, an LED flashlight, a thermocup, a connector for powering external devices, and so on.
