Suzuki Motor has unveiled not only the eVX concept car and the Jimny five-door variant, but also a new low-cost subcompact crossover called the Fronx at the AutoExpo 2023 auto show now in New Delhi.

The novelty relative to the “donor” has a raised ground clearance, and the exterior style has been made more brutal and “crossover”. At the bottom of both bumpers there is an imitation of steel underbody protection. The headlights are made in two levels, the dipped and main beam blocks are in the corners of the bumpers, above them are narrowed strips of daytime running lights and direction indicators.

The overall length, width, height of the Suzuki Fronx are 3995, 1765 and 1550 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2520 mm. The landing diameter of the wheels is 17 inches.

In terms of interior, the Suzuki Fronx repeats the Baleno in the most expensive configuration - the same front panel, seats and equipment.

For the crossover, two engine options will be offered, both gasoline - a 1.2-liter “aspirated” with a capacity of 90 hp. and a torque of 113 Nm or a 1.0-liter turbocharged return of 100 hp. and 147 Nm. The first is combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox or "robot", the second - with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-band "automatic". Drive — only the front. The production of the novelty will be carried out by the Indian branch of Suzuki - Maruti Suzuki. Sales in the local market will start in April.
