Suzuki Ignis launched in Japan

Suzuki

The second generation Suzuki Ignis was released in 2015. Five years on the assembly line is a decent time, so to maintain interest in the model, the manufacturer slightly updated it.

One of the most noticeable visual changes was the front grille. Now, instead of one horizontal stripe, she received four vertical cutouts. Due to this, the car began to slightly resemble the off-road models of the company: Jimny and the fresh S-Presso crossover for India.

A new body color has also appeared - Tough Khaki Pearl Metallic (gray-green). In this version, the roof of the car is painted black.

New equipment has arrived. Now all versions are equipped with a preventive safety system. The dual front camera monitors obstacles, and in case of danger, the automatic braking system is activated.

Small changes in the cabin include different seat upholstery and an upgraded dashboard. The trunk trim is made from materials that are easier to clean: Ignis is positioned as a car for outdoor enthusiasts.

Under the hood, there were no metamorphoses. Suzuki Ignis is still equipped with a 1.2-liter Dualjet gasoline engine with 91 hp. and a starter-generator of 2.3 kW. The latter not only recharges the lithium-ion battery during braking and controls the start-stop system, but also helps the engine during acceleration.

In Japan, prices for a front-wheel drive car start at 1,522,400 yen. The all-wheel drive version costs a minimum of 1,658,800 yen.
