Suzuki Motor has unveiled an upgraded version of the Ertiga compact van. Recall that the second generation Ertiga was released in 2018, it is simultaneously produced in India and Indonesia, and sold in South and Southeast Asia.

The changes affected primarily the units. The 1.5-liter Dual Jet petrol engine is now equipped with a start-stop system that automatically switches the ignition off and on during short stops - thus saving fuel and reducing harmful emissions. The power of the upgraded engine is 103 hp, the torque is 137 Nm. Compared to the previous engine of the same volume, the performance fell by 2 hp. and 1.2 Nm. In the standard, the unit is combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox, however, the optional “automatic” has been replaced: an outdated 4-speed automatic transmission was previously used, now it is a modern, 6-band one.

At the same time, the Suzuki Ertiga range was supplemented with a dual-fuel CNG modification - it has gas-balloon equipment, and a 1.5-liter engine is capable of consuming both gasoline and compressed natural gas (methane). On gasoline, power is 100 hp, on methane - 87 hp.

In the cabin, in the top trim levels, the diagonal of the display of the media system was increased - 7 inches instead of 6.8.

The Suzuki Ertiga has only a front-wheel drive, but the suspensions are prepared for driving on bad roads, and other crossovers will envy the ground clearance - 178 mm.

The exterior was refreshed with light touches - the radiator grille received a three-dimensional pattern, the tailgate - a chrome decorative strip.

With an overall length of about 4.4 m, Suzuki Ertiga has a seven-seat interior with three rows of seats. In India, an updated minivan costs from $10,900.
