Smart is celebrating 20 years since the launch of the first car. On this occasion, the company has developed a new concept car - a two-seat roadster Forease Concept. The development will be shown in early October at the international motor show in Paris.
The manufacturer's press service notes that Forease is the ideological successor to the 2001 Crossblade and 2011 Forspeed concepts. The car is built on the basis of the serial Fortwo, but its exterior panels and lighting equipment are original. The concept is characterized as "extremely open" - in principle, it has no roof, and instead of a windshield - a "stump".
Inside, there is a steering wheel instead of a steering wheel, seat and front panel trim from combinations of black and white leather. The place of the central ventilation deflectors was taken by two round displays, onto which the information of the Ready to smart application is projected.
The concept is powered by an electric propulsion system with 60 kW (81 hp) and 160 Nm of torque. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 17.6 kWh. From standstill to 100 km / h Smart Forease accelerates in 11.8 seconds, top speed - 130 km / h.
Smart Forease is not planned for production, it is a pure show car.
