The Skoda Enyaq electric crossover received a sporty version

Skoda

Skoda Auto has introduced a new modification of the Enyaq iV electric crossover - it is sporty and is indicated by the RS prefix in the title.

Until now, the RS version was available only when ordering the Enyaq Coupe iV (a platform crossover with a five-door liftback body), from now on it has been added to the range and models with a station wagon body.

The novelty is made according to the same recipe as the mentioned Enyaq Coupe iV RS - the body is modified with the help of an aerodynamic body kit, low-profile 20-inch wheels (21-inch are optional), matrix LED headlights, black accents in the exterior and illumination of the imitation grille are introduced. In terms of technology, the difference from the standard crossover is powerful motors. The Enyaq RS iV is powered by two electric motors delivering 220 kW (295 hp) and 460 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and top speed limited to 180 km/h.

The motors are powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 82 kWh, with which the power reserve reaches 500 km.

An additional Traction has been added to the usual Skoda electric crossover presets for Eco, Comfort, Normal and Sport driving modes. It is designed for driving on slippery surfaces and involves the inclusion of permanent all-wheel drive at speeds of 12 km / h and above.

In the interior of the sports version there are special front seats with developed lateral support, seat and front panel trim with a special fabric, carbon fiber inserts, and a steering wheel truncated from below.

Sales of Skoda Enyaq iV RS will start in 2023.
