Skoda Kodiaq second generation: showed the body

Skoda

In almost eight years of production, the Skoda Kodiaq midsize crossover has become a real bestseller, finding over 800,000 buyers - it is natural that the next generation Kodiaq, which will be released early this fall, will not be an electric car, but a normal ICE car for traditional families with children.

Warming up interest in the release of the second-generation model, the Czech automaker has published new pictures from the preparation of its production. What can be said about them? The main thing: the Kodiaq concept has not changed - it is still a relatively large (for Europe) family universal car.

The most notable feature of the new Kodiaq's bodywork is its slightly raised waistline, which is likely to make the car appear stockier and faster than its predecessor. The opening of the hood will change, on the new Kodiaq the hood will not cover the upper edge of the wings, as on today's Kodiaq. The configuration of the block headlights will be similar to those that are put on the latest Skoda Fabia.

In general, no revelations are expected in the guise of a family crossover, everything is functional and somewhat cool, as Volkswagen has long been accustomed to.

As for technical innovations, in the new incarnation of the Skoda Kodiaq, for the first time, it will be offered with a “rechargeable hybrid” power plant.
