In Athens (Greece), they found the Skoda Favorit hatchback, which has stood in the garage for 30 years and, in fact, is in the state of a new car. The mileage of a white car is only 34 (thirty-four) kilometers.
It is alleged that this car was once bought by a woman and on the way from the car dealership to the garage she realized that driving a car was not for her. Therefore, in the next 30 years, she no longer tried to drive.
At the end of 2022, the hatchback changed hands and was subsequently put up for auction. A car for a rather impressive amount - 24,000 euros - was bought by a professional race car driver from the Czech Republic, Jiri Michanek Jr. He said that this Favorite had only a few shortcomings, but even the protective polyethylene covers on the seats were preserved from the factory.
The car is made in the LX configuration, among other things, it has wood inserts in the cabin and decal stickers on the body. Under the hood is a 1.3-liter gasoline engine with electronic injection, power - 54 hp, top speed - 137 km / h. Transmission - 5-speed manual, front-wheel drive.
Skoda Favorit was produced in 1988-1995. It was the last car of the "socialist" Skoda, in 1994 the Czech automaker became part of the German concern Volkswagen.
