Skoda

The compact crossover Skoda Karoq turned out to be a very successful product - over 500,000 such cars have been sold worldwide in four years since the start of production. Today, in the Skoda Auto lineup, the Karoq ranks second in popularity after the Octavia. So that interest in the crossover does not fade away, the Czech automaker carried out its restyling - on November 30, the updated model celebrated the global premiere.

The exterior has been refreshed with new front and rear styling. The headlights, grille, taillights and both bumpers were replaced, all steel stamped parts remained the same. The block headlights have a “step” from below, the lights have become narrower, the shape of the bumpers will change. Also used is a new rear spoiler and diamond-cut wheels (diameter from 17 to 19 inches, depending on the configuration).

Thanks to aerodynamic inserts in the discs and a spoiler, the model's streamlining has improved - the drag coefficient is 0.30, 9% less than that of the pre-styling crossover.

In expensive versions, the headlights are now made using LED matrix technology.

The length, width and height of the restyled Karoq are 4390, 1841 and 1624 mm respectively, the wheelbase is 2638 mm for the front-wheel drive variant or 2630 mm for the 4x4. Of the dimensions, only the length has changed - +10 mm.

The analog instrument cluster has been completely eliminated from the Karoka package - now only a digital instrument panel with a diagonal of 8 or 10.25 inches, depending on the version. Four types of media systems are also offered with a screen from 6.5 to 9.2 inches.

A fundamentally new option is addressed to the advocates of the preservation of the environment - the eco-package. When ordered, the seat upholstery is fully synthetic, the fabric is made up of fibers from recycled PET bottles.

In addition to the standard variant, the Sportline version will continue to be offered, featuring an exterior body kit and a la sport front seats. The Scout configuration, which featured silver imitation underbody protection in the front and rear bumpers, was dropped from the range due to low demand.

The modernization did not touch the technical side. In the European Union, the car will be offered with 1.0-liter, 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engines, power - 110 hp, 150 hp. or 190 hp Also in the EU, two diesel versions are available with 1.6 and 2.0 turbo engines - a return of 116 and 150 hp. respectively. Gearbox - 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG preselective robot. Drive - front or full.
