Skoda Auto will complete the range of its first production electric crossover Enyaq iV with a sports modification, which will be designated with the GT prefix. Photos of its pre-production prototype were published by Motor1.
The sports variant has an original coupe-crossover style body: up to the middle pillar it will repeat the usual Enyaq, while the rear part is completely new, with a sloping roof. The external difference from the standard electric crossover will also be a developed aerodynamic body kit - in the front there will be an extended cutout at the bottom. In addition, the car will receive low-profile wheels of increased diameter. The prototype in the photo is partially covered with masking film - Skoda hides the lights, rear doors and bumper of the Eniac GT from us. In general, the style of the car resembles the one presented in March 2019 on the Vision iV forerunner concept.
According to Autocar, the alleged Enyaq GT will be powered by a 179-horsepower electric motor mounted on the rear axle. The standard 60 iV version of the Enyaq is equipped with the same engine; it draws energy from a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 62 kWh. On a single charge, the cross is able to travel 390 km, acceleration to 100 km / h takes him 8.7 seconds. Recall that in the basic configuration, the 55 iV Enyaq is equipped with a 148-horsepower electric motor and a 55 kWh battery (the power reserve will be 340 km in the WLTP cycle).
If the Enyaq GT inherits the power plant from the sports version of the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, then the Czech cross can get two electric motors with a total power of 302 hp. Acceleration to 100 km / h, according to the Motor1 portal, will then take him about 6.2 seconds, and the maximum speed will be 180 km / h.
Enyaq (the name comes from the Irish female name Enya, which means “source of life”) is built on the MEB modular platform that underlies all new Volkswagen electric vehicles.
In Europe, the most affordable Enyaq iV costs from 37,870 euros
