Nissan Motor on September 6 released the X-Trail T33 mid-size crossover in EU specification. Recall that the world premiere of the car took place at the end of 2020 - then the North American version of the X-Trail, which is traditionally called Rogue, was introduced, the X-Trail T33 was released for China in the spring of 2021, and the right-hand drive X-Trail T33 for Japan appeared at the end of July 2022 . Finally, it was the turn of the Old World.
In the EU, the model is offered in three motor modifications.
The standard version is a 1.5-liter VC-Turbo gasoline engine with variable compression ratio, a 12-volt starter-alternator and a CVT. Power - 163 hp, torque - 303 Nm, front-wheel drive.
More expensive modifications have an e-Power sequential hybrid system. It consists of the same VC-Turbo engine (1.5 l) and one or two electric motors. e-Power works in series, that is, the internal combustion engine is not connected to the wheels here, but is used only to charge traction batteries through the generator, which, in turn, feed the electric motor. In the basic configuration, the X-Trail e-Power has one traction motor and front-wheel drive. Characteristics of the electric motor - 204 hp and 330 Nm. For a surcharge, you can add a second traction engine to e-Power - on the rear axle, in which case the drive will become full, and the total power will reach 213 hp.
For Europeans, as well as for the Japanese, a third row of seats is available as an option, with which the X-Trail becomes a seven-seater.
Sales of new items in the EU have already started (from 36 thousand euros), and they are delivered there ready-made from the Japanese Nissan Motor plant.
The design of the model is based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi CMF-C platform, the overall length of the new X-Trail is 4660 mm.
The previous generation Nissan X-Trail T32 has been produced since 2013.
