The Japanese sold out the "farewell" special version of the GT-R even before the publication of prices

Nissan Motor has published prices for the "farewell" special versions of the Nissan GT-R - NISMO and NISMO Special Edition. Despite the fact that the price became known only on August 5, not a single car can be purchased: the entire batch of 300 supercars was booked back in April, when the company first announced these modifications.

So, for the GT-R NISMO they ask for 24.2 million yen, for the GT-R NISMO Special Edition - 24.64 million yen. At the same time, 99% of customers chose the second version, and about one in two preferred the new Stealth Gray branded dark gray shade.

Distinctive features of the Special Edition are the bare carbon bonnet (no paint saves 100 g of weight) and exclusive 20-inch forged wheels with a red outer ring.

The 2022 GT-R NISMO will get a permanent 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6. The return is the same - 600 hp and 652 Nm.

GT-R NISMO Special Edition claims to use unique piston rings, connecting rods, crankshaft, flywheel and valve springs with tighter tolerances. Allegedly, this allows the engine to gain momentum faster (why the power and torque indicators have not changed at the same time is a big question).

All GT-R NISMOs use large Brembo calipers and carbon-ceramic discs that are the largest ever fitted to a Japanese sports car: 410mm front and 390mm rear.

Officially, Nissan has not yet announced that this series will be the last for the GT-R R35, but such rumors are circulating in the Japanese media.

Nissan GT-R is a real long-liver: the model has been produced for 14 years, since 2007. Since then, the sports car has been repeatedly upgraded, although the basic design remains unchanged.
