Nissan Motor and its motorsports division, Nissan Motorsports & Customize (NMC), have revealed the first images of a car based on the new generation Z rear-wheel drive sports car. The car is built for the NAPAC Fuji Super TEC 24-hour professional circuit race, which will be held at Fuji Speedway in Oyama on April 28 and June 4-5.

Two sports prototypes are said to have been built, one to be used by the Nismo factory team and the other by private Max Racing. Both cars will take part in the race in the ST-Q class - cars that do not fall under the standard classes of the Super Taikyu series are entered there.

No technical information about the Nissan Z-based car has yet been released. The photo shows a welded roll cage integrated into the body, an original bumper, a clearly composite hood panel with two large vents, as well as a massive rear wing on the trunk lid.

Recall that on April 25, Japan began accepting orders for a new generation of Nissan Z, in its native market, the car is called Fairlady Z.

The new generation Nissan Z is built on an upgraded version of the FM platform, has a classic layout with a longitudinal engine and rear-wheel drive. The car is equipped with a 3.0-liter gasoline bi-turbo V6 model VR30DDTT, its power is 405 hp, torque is 475 Nm. At the choice of the customer, the engine is aggregated with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-band "automatic".

"Live" sales of new items will start in July-August 2022.
