Nissan Motor has announced the start of sales of the rear-wheel drive sports car Fairlady Z in the domestic market of Japan. At the same time, the company announced that shipments of the car to Japanese customers will begin in July, that is, later than originally planned.

Recall that the production version of the Z / Fairlady Z of the seventh generation was introduced in August 2021, the production of commercial copies of the model began in February, but it is not rhythmic due to shortages of electronic chips due to the ongoing global shortage of semiconductors.

The new generation Nissan Z is built on an upgraded version of the FM platform, has a classic layout with a longitudinal engine and rear-wheel drive.

The car is equipped with a 3.0-liter gasoline bi-turbo V6 model VR30DDTT, its power is 405 hp, torque is 475 Nm. At the choice of the customer, the engine is aggregated with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 9-band "automatic". Together with the automatic transmission, two preset driving modes are wired - standart and sport. Sport mode improves "engine and transmission response, makes steering more precise, and includes original settings for the dynamic control system."

The body color palette for the Japan specification model includes nine options, including the all-new Ceylan Blue (intense blue metallic) and Ikazuchi Yellow (bright metallic yellow).

The digital instrument panel has a 12.3-inch display, it has three display modes, the driver can choose any one to his taste. For example, when you turn on the sports shield in the center of the shield, the tachometer readings and the gearshift indicator are taken out (it advises the moment to shift into a higher gear, based on data from the analysis of the races of professional racer Tsugyo Matsuda).

Relative to the outgoing model of the Z34 generation, the new one has significantly increased torsional rigidity of the body, improved sound and noise insulation. The equipment of the car includes a new Bose audio system with eight speakers.

In Japan, a new Nissan Fairlady Z costs between 5,241,000 and 6,966,300 yen, depending on the trim level.
