The Lexus NX crossover was introduced in April 2014. The model is coming to the end of its life cycle, it is quite logical that the first details about the next generation appeared in the Japanese press.
The first images of the SUV are shared by BestCarWeb. So far this is just a drawing by a third party designer based on leaks and speculation. Such sketches are very close to the novelty.
The future NX will be built on the same platform as the Toyota RAV4 with the Toyota Harrier. All cars will be united by the size of the wheelbase - 2690 mm. With a total body length of 4630 mm, the Lexus will be slightly more compact than the Harrier. In terms of space inside the car, the Lexus NX is also close to the new product from Toyota.
Units will also borrow from related models. The base THS II hybrid version based on the 2.5-liter A25A-FXS engine (178 hp and 221 Nm) will have a total output of 222 hp. The plug-in hybrid will get 306 hp.
At the same time, a new 2.4-liter turbo engine is also expected, which is not yet installed on other models of the company. It is assumed that its power will exceed 300 hp.
