Lexus introduces subcompact crossover

Lexus

Lexus held the world premiere of the LBX subcompact crossover - this car became the new entry model in the brand's range.

LBX was created on the basis of GA-B, in terms of chassis and load-bearing body frame it is unified with Toyota Yaris Cross (in its global incarnation). At the same time, all the external elements of the Lexus are original - they form their own and more “emotional” exterior than those of Toyota.

The overall length, width and height of the novelty are 4190, 1825 and 1560 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2580 mm. Tire size - 225/60R17 and 225/55R18.

In the basic configuration, the car has a hybrid installation, consisting of a 1.5-liter Toyota M15A-FXE gasoline engine, a CVT, a nickel-metal hydride battery and an electric motor. The drive can be forward or full (option). Total power - 134 hp, torque - 185 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 9.2 seconds, the maximum permissible trailer weight is up to 750 kg.

Inside, there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 9.8-inch media system screen. As an option - a projection display. A 13-speaker premium Mark Levinson audio package is also available.

In the front-wheel drive version, the trunk volume of the crossover is 332 liters, in the AWD version it is slightly smaller (it is not specified how much).

LBX will be offered in five styling packages: Cool, Relax, Elegant, Active and Urban. They differ in exterior decor and interior colors. They will also offer ample opportunities for individualization when ordering a car.
