Lexus has distributed a series of branded photos that show the layout of a promising electric supercar - it does not even have its own name and goes under the code name Electric Supercar. It should be recalled here that this sample was briefly shown at the end of 2021, when Toyota Motor demonstrated 15 full-size mock-ups at once - the heralds of mass-produced electric vehicles.
The car is distinguished by an unusual exterior with a long hood, a cabin shifted back and complex plastic transitions on the body panels.
In a short press release, Lexus says that the production version of the electric supercar will be the ideological successor to the rear-wheel drive mid-engined Lexus LFA, which was equipped with a petrol 4.8-liter V10 petrol and assembled in the amount of 500 copies in 2011-2013. Electric Supercar driving pleasure will not be inferior to its famous predecessor. The car is planned to be equipped with the next generation of traction batteries, we are talking about a solid-state battery - relative to the current lithium-ion batteries, it will be distinguished by a lightweight design and increased efficiency. The innovative technologies that the supercar will receive will subsequently be transferred to the mainstream Lexus models.
The production Lexus Electric Supercar will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in “less than two seconds”, while the range on a single charge of the car will be 695 km.
Note that in recent days, Lexus has shown mockups of two promising electric crossovers and one sedan.
