Lexus showed a stylish electric crossover

Lexus

Lexus has unveiled the LF-Z Electrified concept car, which sheds light on the styling of the brand's future electric vehicle lineup.

The LF-Z is a mid-size crossover with a five-door hatchback body type, the car has a deliberately sporty exterior, it is characterized by a swift profile, a high window line, deep wheel arches and complex plastic exterior surfaces. The top and bottom of the body are graphically separated, the roof is glass, panoramic, with adjustable transparency.

The concept car is built on the promising Direct4 electric vehicle platform, it has two motors (one per axle) that provide all-wheel drive. The total engine power is 394 kW (536 hp), torque is 700 Nm. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km / h takes 3 seconds, top speed - 200 km / h.

The steering is carried out by wire, that is, the car does not have a traditional mechanical assembly with a shaft. This reduces the risk of injury in an accident and simplifies the parallel release of right- and left-hand drive modifications.

To lower the center of gravity and improve stability, a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery is located under the floor of the body, it provides a range of 600 km on a single charge.

Within five years, Lexus plans to add ten new hybrid and all-electric models to its range.
