Lexus LX600 tested on a dyno

Lexus

Frame SUV Lexus LX600 tested on a dyno. The capabilities of its power unit were studied by EKanoo Racing from Bahrain.

The LX600 is equipped with the same 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol (415 hp and 650 Nm) as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The engine is aggregated with a 10-speed AJA0F automatic transmission. The drive is permanent all-wheel drive, with a locking center differential and a reduction next to the gear ratio of 2.618.

For the test, a brand new Lexus LX600 was taken in the F Sport configuration with a range of 17 km. It was wiser to choose an SUV after a break-in: there is an opinion that after two or three thousand mileage, the engine's capabilities are revealed to the fullest.

As a result of several starts, the LX600 was able to produce 362 hp. and 552 Nm. Tested in the summer of 2021, the Land Cruiser 300 with the same powertrain showed more power - 375 hp. Probably 13 “horses” “ran away” at the sight of huge 22-inch wheels, which are a hallmark of the F Sport configuration: it was easier for Kruzak to crank its 20-inch wheels.

Recall that the Lexus LX is built on a new TNGA GA-F frame platform, which differs from the previous generation Lexus LX in a lower center of gravity, optimized weight distribution along the axes and, as a result, improved handling. The supporting frame and body are lightened by a total of 200 kg compared to their predecessor, while their torsional rigidity is increased.
