Photos of the serial version of the promising large Haval crossover have been leaked through the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry. As follows from the pictures, on the way to the assembly line, the H-Dog does not look any simpler than the prototype, which was first shown at the end of last month at the Chengdu International Motor Show.
The designers gave the exterior of the car a masculine character. Interesting features include a slight slope of the windshield, a vertical angle of the front when viewed in profile, ellipsoidal headlights, a humpbacked roof and massive punching over the wheel arches. The style of the car echoes other models of the “dog” Haval family – the medium-sized DaGou (known as Dargo in the Russian Federation) and the compact X-Dog.
The H-Dog is based on the modular Lemon platform, which is used for many other Havals (F7, F7x, Dargo, X-Dog, Jolion).
The overall length of the promising crossover is 4.7 m, the interior has a five-seat layout. The wheel size is 235/65 R18 or 235/60 R19, the approach angle is 24 degrees, the exit angle is 30 degrees.
The base configuration of the Haval H-Dog will receive a 238 hp GW4N20A 2.0T gasoline engine. It is combined with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
For a surcharge, they will offer a DHT-PHEV system of the “hybrid with the possibility of recharging from the network” type. It will include a 1.5-liter petrol turbo and two electric motors, total power - 326 hp, torque - 530 Nm. On pure electric traction, the car will be able to drive 50-150 km, the drive is also full.
In China, sales of Haval H-Dog will start in late 2022 - early 2023.
