Fiat is celebrating a major milestone with the sale of the one millionth Fiat 500 hatchback.
The compact car was introduced in March 2007, after which its assembly began in Poland. The 500 is a modern version of an old model created by the Italians in the 50s of the last century. And if the first "five hundredth" took 4 years to reach sales of 180,000, then the new model in 2009 alone exceeded this figure on the European market.
Today the Fiat 500 is sold in 100 countries, produced in Poland and Mexico. The developers are constantly coming up with special versions of the model, have developed an open body and a modification with an extended wheelbase. A crossover will appear soon.
