Italian FIAT, which is part of Stellantis, has added a fundamentally new model to its range - an inexpensive coupe-crossover Fiat Fastback. This machine was created by the Brazilian branch of the concern, it will be produced in Brazil, the target market is Latin America.

According to some style decisions, the novelty has something in common with the concept car of the same name four years ago. For example, the sloping roof and the aggressive design of the front are referred to it.

The overall length, width and height of the serial Fiat Fastback are 4.1 m, 1.77 m and 1.57 m. In other words, this is a subcompact model.

Fastback was not created from scratch, the car is based on the MLA platform used for Argo budget hatchbacks, Cronos sedans and Pulse crossovers (they have been produced since 2017, 2018 and 2021, respectively). In terms of the supporting frame of the body to the B-pillar, front doors and front fenders, the novelty is completely unified with Argo and Cronos, the hood is taken from Pulse. The rest of the Fastback's bodywork is original. Cross-coupe trunk volume - 370 liters.

The model will be offered only with turbocharged gasoline engines - a 1.0-liter 130 hp. and a 1.3-liter return of 185 hp. In the transmission, depending on the engine, there is a continuously variable variator or a 6-band “automatic”.

Fiat keeps a photo of the Fastback interior a secret for now. It is assumed that he will repeat the interior of the Fiat Pulse.

Sales of new items in Brazil will start in the fall of 2022, they will sell it at a price of about $15-17 thousand.
