Fiat reveals Aegea compact sedan

Fiat

Fiat has unveiled the Aegea compact sedan at the Istanbul Motor Show. The novelty will replace the Linea model in the line of the Italian brand, which was once popular in emerging markets.

The development of the technical component of the car was carried out in Turkey, and the design was created in the Italian studio of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles concern.

The body length of the sedan is 4.5 meters, and the width and height are 1.78 and 1.48 meters. Aegea trunk volume reaches 510 liters. In terms of dimensions and capacity, it can be assumed that the novelty from Fiat will compete with compact and affordable models in the spirit of Renault Logan or Skoda Rapid.

The car is designed to carry five passengers. The range of engines consists of two diesel engines of the Multijet II family and two gasoline engines with output from 95 to 120 hp. Depending on the type of engine, you can choose "mechanics" or "automatic". There are no detailed details about fuel consumption yet, but it is known that the most economical modification of the Aegea spends four liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

The car will be equipped with a Uconnect multimedia system with a five-inch touch screen, navigation from TomTom, as well as reading SMS messages aloud and playing streaming audio. In addition, the list of equipment will include a multimedia control on the steering wheel and a rear view camera.

Fiat Aegea will be available in Turkey from November 2015. There is no word yet on the prospect of the model appearing in other markets.
