Concern FAW showed a new development under the HongQi brand - a full-size frame SUV LS7. Recall that the HongQi brand occupies the highest level in the hierarchy of Chinese national auto brands. All the leaders of the Communist Party of China, starting with Mao Zedong, drive Hongqi, these cars can be compared with the English Rolls-Royce or Soviet ZILs in status. In recent years, FAW has been actively expanding the range of the brand.
The overall length of the LS7 exceeds 5.5 m, the exact figure is not reported. However, even the photo shows a huge rear overhang and a large wheelbase - the LS7 is clearly no less than the Chevrolet Suburban, which in the current generation has 5.7 m from nose to tail. The appearance of the new HongQi was developed under the guidance of the brand's chief designer Giles Taylor (until 2018, the chief designer of Rolls-Royce), plastic body panels, front design with vertical chrome slats LS7 echoes other recent HongQi products, in particular, the E-HS7 electric crossover.
The LS7 is powered by a turbocharged V-8 direct injection petrol engine developed and tested in-house by FAW. Its power is 659 hp, torque is 850 Nm, the working volume is not reported.
