Chinese luxury brand Hongqi, which is part of the FAW, showed not only the second-generation L5 executive sedan, but also three concept cars, the E-LS and E202 crossovers, as well as the E001 sedan, at the Shanghai Motor Show.
The E-LS is the forerunner of the super-luxury full-size SUV with pure electric power. The show car has an unusual exterior and ... a three-seat interior with 1 + 2 seats. The E-LS does not have traditional controls - they say, a full autopilot. In fact, this is a full-size layout that does not even have a deep technical study.
The E202 is a mid-size electric SUV with all-wheel drive and air suspension. The car has an 800-volt architecture, in five minutes it can replenish the power reserve sufficient for a run of 300 km. Visually close to this concept car, a serial electric car will be released in 2024.
E001 is an almost ready-to-serial production sample. The car was created on the new Hongqi FMS modular platform, which in principle does not involve the use of internal combustion engines - only a purely electrical installation. In terms of weight and size, the car is close to the Tesla Model 3. The E001 is equipped with two electric motors (one per axle) and all-wheel drive. The total return is 619 hp, torque is 756 Nm. The power reserve on one full battery charge is 600-800 km.
