At the consumer electronics show CES-2023, which has been held since January 5 in Las Vegas (USA), the Stellantis automotive concern presented the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept concept truck - this is the harbinger of a new generation of Ram full-size off-road pickups, their feature will be a purely electric propulsion system.
The experimental machine was created on the frame platform Stellantis STLA Frame, equipped with two electric motors and a traction battery. The return, alas, is not reported, however, it is known that the electric motors are installed according to the “one per axle” scheme, respectively, the drive of the machine is full. The chassis is fully steerable, the rear wheels can turn up to 15 degrees, which improves the maneuverability of a huge car. The traction battery can withstand recharging from a station with a power of up to 350 kW, so in just 10 minutes you can get an energy reserve sufficient for a run of 160 km. When fully charged, the range reaches 800 km.
The clean-sheet double-row cab features a futuristic design with a relatively short bonnet, graphic roofline, retractable door handles and rearward-swinging rear doors. The wheel size is 24 inches, but it is noted that tires with an outer diameter of 35 inches will also fit in the spacious arches. There are no central pillars in the cab.
In the cabin, in the usual configuration, there are four seats, but the second row can be moved longitudinally and two strap-on seats pressed against the rear wall can be expanded. Thus, a pickup truck can accommodate six people - however, it is unlikely that it will be comfortable for long distances with such a dense seating arrangement.
Ram 1500 Revolution BEV is also suitable for transporting long loads. How to adapt the car for this: 1) fold the backs of the rear seats and the front passenger seat, 2) open the hatch in the rear wall of the cab and at the feet of the front passenger, 3) pull out the floor of the cargo platform. The maximum length of the cargo transported in this way is as much as 5.5 meters.

The media system of the electric truck includes two 14.2-inch displays, they are arranged one above the other, and for the lower one there is an option to dismantle and use it remotely as a tablet computer for work.
The head-up display in front of the driver's eyes is wired with 3D graphics that create the feeling of augmented reality. There is also a voice assistant and an external projector, with which you can broadcast video on the wall in the parking lot - and watch movies without leaving the passenger compartment (the idea was inspired by drive-in theaters popular in the USA in the 1950s and 1960s).
The semi-autopilot complex meets the requirements of the third level according to the SAE classification, that is, the driver does not require an immediate response. He can, for example, write messages or watch a movie. The system itself reacts to situations requiring immediate action, such as emergency braking. The driver is required to be willing to intervene within a limited amount of time specified by the manufacturer.
The curb weight of the pickup truck is 2950 kg, the carrying capacity is slightly less than a ton.
A serial electric pickup truck under the Ram brand Stellantis will release in 2024, how close it will be to the concept truck shown at CES is not specified.
