Dodge will release a modification of the Charger sedan, equipped with a 707-horsepower V8 engine, writes LeftLane News. Previously, the company introduced the Challenger SRT Hellcat model, equipped with a similar engine.

The Charger sedan will receive a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 with a mechanical supercharger, developing 707 hp. power and 881 Nm of torque. According to preliminary information, the motor will be paired with an eight-speed "automatic" TorqueFlight.

The prospects for the appearance of a 6.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 (485 hp) and a six-speed manual transmission on the Charger, known from the Challenger SRT Hellcat, have not yet been specified.

It is expected that the Charger will be equipped with an aerodynamic body kit similar in design to the one previously received by the Challenger. The four-door Dodge will also get Brembo brakes with 390mm brake discs.

Given the difference in weight, the heavier Charger will be slower than the Challenger. Despite this circumstance, the 707-horsepower sedan will be able to compete for the title of the most powerful production car with this type of body in the world.

The premiere of the Charger by SRT should take place in the coming months.
