The world-famous Texas tuning studio Hennessey continues to develop a line of cars created on the basis of the forced frame pickup RAM 1500 TRX. In September, a six-wheeled Mammoth 6x6 with a 1200 hp engine was shown, but now the Texans have announced a seven-seater Mammoth 1000 SUV and published its image on their website.
On the outside, the Mammoth 1000 SUV differs from the RAM 1500 TRX with an original rear end that transforms it from a pickup truck into a station wagon. The car will have a three-row interior layout, and on the second row, instead of a standard sofa, individual luxury seats will be installed.
The standard RAM 1500 TRX R18 wheels will give way to the larger R20 with off-road 35-inch tires, and the suspension will be further raised by 64mm, giving the Mammoth 1000 SUV 364mm of ground clearance.
If the serial RAM 1500 TRX pickup is equipped with a 6.2-liter compressor V8 with a return of 712 hp, then the Hennessey version will receive a 2.65-liter supercharger, new pulleys, a catalyst, injectors, an intake, a redesigned engine control unit. As a result, the power will be brought up to 1012 hp. Acceleration to 97 km / h thanks to these measures will be reduced from 4.5 to 3.2 seconds, the time to cover a distance of 1/4 mile (402 meters) will decrease from 12.9 to 11.4 seconds.
In total, Hennessey plans to build 20 of these machines, each starting at $375,000.
