China has long been Buick's biggest market, which is why the American brand is prioritizing it. However, the new Buick Envision crossover was introduced earlier for the US: the first photos became available in May. Now the company has shown its Chinese version - Buick Envision S.
The letter S was needed due to the fact that the Celestial Empire will continue to sell the previous Envision for some time. The crossover is based on the E2 platform, which is used, in particular, in the Cadillac XT4.
While the Americans do not publish all the information, but judging by the data from the Chinese certification bureau, the Envision S has a 29 mm longer wheelbase (up to 2779 mm), while the body has become shorter by 24 mm (up to 4662 mm).
Specifications are also not announced, but it is known that the American Buick Envision will receive a 2.0-liter turbo engine with an estimated output of 240 hp. and a 9-speed automatic. Most likely, the car will be produced with front or all-wheel drive.
The crossover will debut an entertainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen, as well as support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Spotify and Pandora.
The manufacturer does not disclose prices. The predecessor costs at least 189,900 yuan
